OUR HISTORY

The Idar Chaudashi Tapodhan Brahman community has a notable history that is intertwined with the broader narrative of Brahmin communities in Gujarat, India.

This group is primarily based in the Idar region, which has been a significant cultural and spiritual hub.

The term "Tapodhan" signifies a dedication to ascetic practices and spiritual pursuits. Members of this community have traditionally embraced a lifestyle focused on discipline, learning, and community service.

They have been known for their emphasis on education and knowledge, often serving as scholars, teachers, and spiritual guide.

Historically, the Idar Chaudashi Tapodhan Brahmanas have played a crucial role in preserving and promoting cultural values, rituals, and traditions.

They have maintained a strong commitment to social welfare, establishing schools, temples, and community organizations aimed at upliftment and support for the less fortunate.

The community has also been instrumental in fostering unity among Brahmins and other castes, encouraging collaboration for social and economic progress.

Their efforts have contributed significantly to the cultural and educational landscape of the Idar region.

In summary, the Idar Chaudashi Tapodhan Brahmana community's history is marked by a commitment to spirituality, education, and social responsibility, leaving a lasting impact on the society in which they reside and influencing the development of future generations.

IDAR CHAUDASHI BOARDING, IDAR

Our organization was established on the auspicious day of 25.11.1945 under the chairmanship of Late Shri Jagjivandas Vishwanath Madhvi. And it was then that the organization was named, “Shree Idar Chaudashi Tapodhan Brahmin Seva Sangh Mumbai”.

From then till today that name is used.

Also dated On the day of 8.6.1947, started with Vedicchara of Vidyarthi Bhuvan of the society by the blessing of Sri Nageshwarbhai Trivedi (Padra), which today is known as Sri Girdharlal Govindram Rawal Vidyarthi Bhuvan in idar.

At one time, when there were no high schools in the village, the children of the caste people living in the villages around Idar had to come to Eder for further studies.

Today the situation has changed, and high schools and colleges are being built in every village. So, since Eder Vidyarthi Bhuvan is not being used, scholarships are given to caste students from its rental income.
